From: Malaysia
Weight: 81 kg / Height: 170 cm
Purpose of Travel:
Traveling for medical tourism after a local hospital in Malaysia flagged liver function deterioration during a health check-up. He is undergoing a contrast-enhanced CT and blood tests to further investigate a noted 2cm nodule in the liver (Segment 8 of the right lobe).
Contrast-enhanced CT of the Liver:
Karim has a history of type 2 diabetes (HbA1c around 8.5%, poorly controlled), hyperlipidemia, and mild hypertension. Due to his medical history and the findings from the ultrasound, a contrast-enhanced CT of the liver was ordered to assess the nodule and rule out malignancy.

Karim enjoys hearty meals, particularly beef and lamb with lots of gravy, peanut sauce, and durians, which are high in sugar. He has almost no exercise habits and is introverted and reserved, struggling to make eye contact with hospital staff. He cannot speak English and is accompanied by his daughter, Aisha, who is fluent in English and acts as his interpreter.
